Power Assisted bicycles can be operated without insurance and licensing requirements. Operators must be 16 years of age and wear an approved bicycle helmet. The eZee electric bicycle conversion kit has a solid reputation as the best built internally geared hub motor kit on the market. It is light weight, well engineered, torquy, and fully compatible with North American bicycle standards. With the choice of either front or rear hubs and full disc brake compatibility, there is an eZee kit suitable for just about every model and style of bicycle or tricycle out there.
What's Included
The stock eZee kit includes everything required to convert a bicycle to have electric assist.
- 400 watt internally geared eZee brushless hub motor laced in a double walled rim
- A 180mm disc rotor
- Schwalbe Marathon puncture resistant tire and inner tube
- Sealed 20 amp motor controller
- 37V 9.6 amp-hour Lithium-Manganese battery, with a matching saddle bag and charger
- Throttle, LED indicator, wiring ties, and connector housing
Plus, you have the option of getting the following accessories:
- Direct Plug-in Cycle Analyst, to display accurate information on battery status, energy usage (Watt-hour meter), power consumption and general performance of the vehicle
- Two-piece Torque Arm, for those who want extra security against axle spinout
- E-brake levers, causes the power to shut off as soon as the brakes are squeezed
Performance
The kit as supplied with a 37V battery will propel a bicycle to the legal limit of 32 km/h on flat ground, and has a typical range of 30-40km, depending on usage, terrain and load.
